All students from the ward also benefited from shoes which they had to fit and ensure they were of the right size .The students also had a choice to choose either shoes or sandals.The students who had issues were also attended to by the close of the day.
The area MCA speaking to our reporter said that she was driven by the need to have a healthy population and to ensure early detection and treatment of diseases.A couple of residents who attended the camp also lauded the effort of the MCA and wished for more medical camps atleast once in two years.By the time our reporter left the ground all the residents had been attended to.
Everyone who attended the event also enjoyed free lunch.
The event was sponsored by Machakos County,Ahadi Kenya Trust,Getrude Children Hospital,Deaf AID, Machakos Referral Hospital,F$J Trust, Mbaitu F.M and The Beryl Foundation.
