Led by the External Affairs secretary in the student union madam Stella wa Kimani, comrades arrived in the meeting point in their numbers. No one anticipated more than 800 students would turn up for this noble exercise in an afternoon with classes on and cats.

The students taught the primary school kids on how to plant trees, taking care of them until they grow big.The school kids agreed to plant atleast one tree in their homes and to take care of the trees the comrades planted.

The session included mentor a child where one comrade was given one kid to mentor and ensure their success. When it was time to leave for school, comrades wanted to remain and touch a few more lifes.

Speaking to Kenya moja news after the exercise the headteachers of Gachororo primary, st pauls and the other schools congratulated the university and commented them for holding the biggest CSR event since the university was started. They outlined the benefits of the event and how they brought the community together.

Kenya moja news managed to speak to the JKUSO external affairs secretary and she outlined a couple of activivties in her basket among others clean up of Gachororo which is among the dirtiest places in the county.
